The president of the association MonsieurChalets Philippe Amel notes that demand for chalet rentals during the holiday season remains very high, and occupancy on Christmas reaches almost 100%.

Clients still prefer chalets with jacuzzis, fireplaces, and proximity to ski slopes, seeking a cozy and family atmosphere.

This year, a new trend has emerged — last-minute rentals. According to Amel, some clients are booking chalets literally a few days, or even a day before Christmas — something he has observed for the first time in twelve years.

At the same time, overall demand remains stable for about ten years, but supply is constantly increasing, which puts downward pressure on prices. Amel notes that rates are now the same as in 2018–2019, as high competition forces owners to maintain attractive prices.

Additionally, there is a category of clients who plan their trips in advance: some families — especially grandparents — book chalets a year in advance to spend Christmas in the same place and maintain family tradition.
